Love’s Dark Origin Story is a psychological short about a love story that quietly turns into something else — and about what it costs one woman to keep herself safe. I wrote it because most love stories stop right before the interesting part: the part where two people have to live with who the other actually is. I wanted this one to earn its darkness instead of announcing it.
I’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise $25,000 to shoot this film properly — real locations, real equipment, a fairly paid cast and crew, and the sound work a quiet, dialogue-driven story depends on.
